Planar Components for SMPS

In the design of a low profile SMPS transformers or storage choke, we highly recommend the use of our ferrite planar cores.

The use of this core shape allows you a high power and current density, combined with a substantially reduced overall height.

The improved surface to volume ratio provides outstanding electric performance. In addition, it increases uniformity of electrical parameters and as well the reliability and lifetime of the components.

These characteristics allow a very flexible and versatile use of the range of Kaschke Planar Cores when constructing high power inductive components. By choosing the low loss high frequency ferrite material you will achieve the optimal solution in the frequency range of 100–1000 kHz.

Common Mode Toroid Chokes

The rising demand for higher power in less space, leading to higher switching frequencies and tighter packaging, also brings new challenges for EMC filtering components.

Our common mode filter chokes are designed to meet the EMC regulations even in difficult environments.

All chokes have the release according to EN 138100 resp. DIN EN60938-2 (VDE 0565 type 2-1). All thermoplastic materials used are UL94-V0 listed.

High power, high performance, low losses

Our high performance chokes were developed par­ticularly for applications demanding a high efficiency and a compact design.

The Kaschke Low Loss Series features a high ripple current with small energy dissipation. Due to the low hysteresis, the chokes provide low loss solutions for applications such as Power Factor Correction and High DC bus voltage boost chokes e.g. in zero current switching mode and Resonant Chokes.

By using the Kaschke KLL chokes you gain the advantage of similar Sendust or MPP solutions, but at a far more competitive price.

Transponder Coils for Identification Systems

The market for wireless operating RFID systems (Radio Frequency Identification) with Transponder systems for the safe identification of persons, goods, animals, plants and documents has increased dramatically.

We at Kaschke are specialised in the development, production and support of custom specific identification systems, using transponder coils with ferrite cores in magnetic coupled systems. These identification and communication systems are operating with a typical frequency of 125 kHz.

Fixed Inductors

The Kaschke manufacturing program for inductive components offers a wide range of fixed inductors, which is suited for the smoothing of rectified AC currents, noise suppression and energy storage.

These fixed inductors are mainly applied with electronic ballast, HF converters for halogen lamps and low power SMPS.

The specification of fixed inductors is effected by means of the following characteristics:

Power Factor Correction Chokes

Power chokes especially constructed for the use in active power factor correction circuits.

In combination with active boost PFC circuits these chokes achieve a high efficiency and a power factor between 0.90 and 0.99.

They comply with EN61000-3-2.

The increasing power density of the driving technology requires components with high performance and reduced volume.

As we produce customer-oriented on a large scale and as the design is very flexible through drying by pressing or moulding, it doesn’t claim integrity. MnZn Ferrite Ring Cores for EMC and Broadband Transformers

Ring cores with permeabilities from 4000–12000 combine the advantage of high inductance with a low stray field and small dimensions of the inductive component.

Applications:

Toroidal inductors are mostly used for broadband or signal transformers in telecommunication for frequencies up to 3 MHz and for common mode chokes for EMI suppression from 0.1–30 MHz.

Impeder Cores for Inductive HF Welding

Kaschke Components GmbH offers a wide range of impeder cores for HF welding applications. The ferrite impeder cores are used for the concentration of magnetic flux, e.g. in the production of pipes for different industrial applications.

For these applications we offer the special ferrite material K 2006, carrying the following features:

· High Curie temperature and thus a high operating temperature
· High flux density in the temperature range up to 150°C
· Low losses in the frequency range of up to 500 kHz and more
· High effective permeability
· High frequency stability of the permeability up to 1 MHz
